Fall Is In The Air!
We have breezed through the first few weeks of classes here at BDCS and we are entering into September. September is the official end of summer and the start of a new school year. It is an exciting time of year and we are looking forward to sharing what is new and happening here at BDCS!
BDCS is continuing to work on creating a culture of community. It is a big focus for us for the season. With community in mind, developed the studio theme of the month; upserving and family engagement. The team is working this month on ways we can upserve our families to create more engagement. Community is built by engagement. We are looking to engage with you and for you to engage with BDCS!
Winter Production: Frozen Jr.
BDCS Winter Production is Frozen Jr. We had a great response at our audition on Aug 27th. We also have had an overwhelming response from more students that would like to participate, so we have added an additional audition date on 9/10/2022 at 10:45 AM. If you are interested make sure to click the link in the newsletter or scan the QR code on the news board in the studio to book your spot. Here are some important details…
- All participants must attend rehearsals on Saturdays from 10:45AM t0 12:45 PM (No class on November 26th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday)
- The Fee to participate is $250. This fee covers all rehearsals, costume rental and a souvenir T-shirt.
Dance Parties and Workshops
September starts off our monthly dance parties for our preschool students and our monthly workshops for our school age and DanceFit students. We are excited to bring these extra opportunities for our students to learn and grow. They encourage techniques and skills that are beyond what is covered in regular classes. We are able to bring the students together in a way that builds community and collaboration across all styles, ages and abilities. If you are a VIP member these opportunities are included in your annual membership and we encourage you to take full advantage of your membership. If you are a standard member and are interested in upgrading your membership, just see the front desk during your next visit to the studio and we can assist you in upgrading your membership.

6ABC Dunkin Thanksgiving Day Parade
BDCS is participating in Dancin’ on the Parkway for the 102nd 6ABC Dunkin Thanksgiving Day Parade. We are offering this amazing opportunity for students ages 8 to adults. BDCS will hold rehearsals at the studio to learn the parade choreography. There are required rehearsals in Philly by the parade the week of the parade and the night prior to the parade on Thanksgiving Day. BDCS Company Auditions
BDCS Company Auditions are scheduled for Saturday October 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM. BDCS Company is our performance group that performs in local community events, parades, and participates in 2-3 competitions annually. Auditions are open to students ages 8 to 18. All abilities and levels are welcome to audition. There are a few requirements for all company members.
- Enroll in ballet at BDCS (this is necessary to learn the technique required to perform in all company events)
- Attend rehearsals (rehearsal days and times will be assigned after auditions)
- Attend scheduled performances and competitions.
- Understand there are additional financial obligations for rehearsal classes, competitions and parades.
