Kids Broadway Summer Camp

BDCS’ week-long summer Kids Broadway Summer Camp is designed for kids between the ages of 7-12 who are interested in Broadway musicals. Each day, the camp will focus on a different Broadway show.

  • Monday– Fame
  • Tuesday– & Juliet
  • Wednesday– Broadway Music
  • Thursday– Bad Cinderella
  • Friday– Aladdin

Throughout the camp, campers will work with experienced instructors, who will help them develop their singing, dancing, and acting skills. They will also participate in fun games and activities designed to build their confidence and teamwork abilities.

By the end of the camp, the campers will have gained a deeper appreciation for Broadway musicals, and have developed their own performance skills. They will have made new friends and memories that will last a lifetime.

Camp meets daily from 9AM to 4:00PM Monday through Friday.  Campers will need a bagged lunch daily and water bottle.  Campers have the option to select one or all five days to tailor their camp experience.  Customize your camp below!

Day 1:  Fame
Monday, August 14th 9:00AM-4:00PM

The Fame themed camp is designed for kids who love to sing, dance, and act. The camp is inspired by the hit Broadway musical and movie, Fame. The camp focuses on teaching the campers the art of performance and how to become a true triple threat in the entertainment industry.

By the end of camp, the campers will have developed their singing, dancing, and acting abilities, and gained a deeper appreciation for the performing arts. They will also have formed new friendships with like-minded individuals who share their passion for the stage.

Day 2:  & Juliet
Tuesday, August 15th 9:00AM-4:00PM

& Juliet is based on the popular musical “& Juliet.” This musical takes a unique twist on the classic Shakespeare play of Romeo and Juliet.  The camp includes a range of activities related to the musical, such as singing, dancing, acting, and theater games.

Overall, the camp aims to provide a fun and engaging experience for children who are interested in musical theater and the world of “& Juliet.” It also provides a space for kids to explore their creativity and develop their performing arts skills in a supportive environment.

Day 3: Broadway Music
Wednesday, August 16thrd 9:00AM-4:000PM

The camp is designed to appeal to those with an interest in performing arts and Broadway. Activities at the camp include singing and dancing workshops, vocal coaching, acting lessons, and rehearsals for musical productions. Campers also have the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Broadway.

Overall, the camp provides a fun and educational experience for young performers who are passionate about Broadway music and the performing arts. It aims to foster creativity, confidence, and teamwork skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Day 4:  Bad Cinderella
Thursday, August 17th 9:00AM-4:00PM

Bad Cinderella is based on the popular story of Cinderella with a twist. The camp is designed to provide a fun and unique experience for children who are interested in the arts and storytelling.

Also campers will participate in a range of activities related to the Bad Cinderella story, such as theater games, storytelling workshops, singing and dancing lessons, and costume design. Campers will have the opportunity to create their own versions of the Bad Cinderella story, and to develop their performance and storytelling skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Day 5:  Aladdin
Friday, August 18th 9:00AM-4:00PM

A camp themed on the Broadway musical Aladdin is designed for children who are fans of the musical and interested in performing arts. The camp includes activities such as singing, dancing, acting, and theater games, all based on the themes and characters of the Aladdin story.

Additionally, children will be encouraged to build their confidence, improve their stage presence, and learn new performing arts skills. The camp provides a fun and engaging experience for kids while also helping them develop their creativity and teamwork abilities.
